Thanks to the growing demand of ultra-luxurious SUVs, the launch of the new Bentley Bentayga Speed has set the industry alight. Although it has many fantastic features, the most notable claim it has is that the new Bentayga Speed is the fastest SUV in the world! This incredible piece of machinery reaches a staggering top speed of 306 km/h (190 mp/h). Not only is it fast, but it can also accelerate from 0-100 km/h (0-62 mp/h) in 3.9 seconds.
The fastest SUV in the world features an enhanced 635 PS (626 bhp) version of the renowned 6.0-litre W12 engine. The extremely fast acceleration is made possible thanks to 900 Nm (664 lb.ft) of torque. This ensures that the power under the hood has all you could possibly need.
Born from a long tradition of Speed models that was started with the Continental GT back in 2007 the new model pushes the boundaries of SUV performance. It cemented this when it claimed the production SUV record at the gruelling Pikes Peak International Hill climb in 2018.
Sculpted with an elegant, timeless execution, the Bentayga’s style perfectly balances athleticism with confidence
The all-wheel-drive Speed is equipped with Electronic Differential Lock and has up to eight Drive Dynamic modes. A much more dynamic drive has been made possible due to bespoke engineering revisions of the sport mode. The Speed further boasts with a firmer suspension tune and a greater exhaust character. This directly translates into a further increase in driver engagement.
Equipped with four on-road Drive Dynamic modes, this eight-speed automatic transmission vehicle offers the ultimate in adaptability and “road-experience”. These range from sport on the one end to comfort on the other with Custom for customers who opt to create their own driving set-up.
Although this year’s model of the Bentayga is focused on performance, its interior and features are most certainly not second-rate.
Bentayga Speed Interior
The cabin’s interior has been designed to find the perfect balance between indulgent luxury and understated elegance. Handcrafted in Crewe in the United Kingdom, the interior of the vehicle introduces a new colour split that has been designed to highlight the styling lines. A contributor to this is the usage of the Alcantara trim. This highly tactile cloth is mostly reserved for high-performance cars such as the Bentley Continental Supersports. Should customers not wish to use the trim they can revert back to a leather finish at no additional cost.
