Bentley’s new Bentayga Speed delivers 650 PS, a 193 mph top speed, and advanced dynamics, making it the most powerful and performance-focused Bentayga to date.

Bentley has pushed the boundaries of what a luxury SUV can do with the new Bentayga Speed. This model stands at the top of the Bentayga range, combining blistering performance with the refinement you expect from Crewe’s finest.

Performance Flagship of the Bentayga Line

The Bentayga Speed is now the fastest, most focused Bentayga you can buy. Beneath its hood sits a twin-turbocharged 4.0-litre V8 engine that puts out 650 PS (641 bhp/478 kW) and 850 Nm of torque. That translates into a 0–60 mph sprint in just 3.4 seconds and a top speed of 193 mph (310 km/h).

Compared to the Bentayga V8 S (0–60 mph in 4.4 seconds) or the previous W12 Speed model (3.9 seconds), this is a significant leap forward. Peak torque arrives between 2,250 and 4,500 rpm, giving you a “torque plateau” that keeps the power delivery strong across the rev range.

Underpinning this performance is a Sports exhaust as standard, which gives the V8 a pleasingly deep note. The two elliptical tailpipes integrated into the rear diffuser aren’t just for looks, they shout “performance” every time you give the throttle a nudge. If you want something more dramatic, add the Titanium Akrapovič Exhaust. Its quad tailpipes and deeper snarls make it clear this isn’t your everyday SUV.

Sharper Handling, Multiple Modes

On top of the raw power, the Bentayga Speed benefits from tweaks to the chassis and suspension. You still get the familiar COMFORT and BENTLEY modes, which keep the ride smooth and the cabin tranquil. But SPORT mode in the Speed feels noticeably sharper: steering is more responsive, body control is tighter thanks to a 15 percent increase in damping stiffness, and you can really work that V8 harder when the road turns twisty.

If you opt for carbon ceramic brakes, you unlock ESC Dynamic mode with Launch Control,Bentley’s first-ever. In this setting, stability controls step back to let you explore the limits: it’s possible to induce a little drift or power-on oversteer if that’s how you choose to drive. Torque vectoring helps you flick the car into corners and get back on the power sooner, making for a more connected feel at speed.

All-Wheel Steering for Agility and Stability

The Bentayga Speed also introduces all-wheel steering, something new to the Bentayga family. Below about 50 mph, the rear wheels turn in the opposite direction to the fronts, slashing the turning circle and making city manoeuvres and tight parking spaces far less of a hassle. Once you’re cruising, the rear wheels turn the same way as the fronts, boosting high-speed stability and confidence when you’re cruising on the motorway.

Design Details That Scream “Speed”

On the outside, Bentley has made sure the Speed looks as purposeful as it drives. Dark-tinted brightware replaces chrome on key trims, and “Speed” badges on the front doors make it clear where this model sits in the lineup. Standard 22-inch Speed wheels come in dark tint or silver, and if you choose the carbon ceramic brakes, you can spec 23-inch wheels in grey satin, black, or black with a machined face.

The headlamps have dark-tinted internals and bezels, while the tail lamps have grey accents and matching dark-tinted bezels. Inside the brake caliper options, seven bold colours are available for the standard brakes, and even more when you go for the carbon ceramics. There’s also an optional Speed black roof, gloss or satin depending on your paint colour, which wraps down to the lower tailgate spoiler, giving the car an even more aggressive stance.

Performance-Focused Cabin

Open the doors and you’ll find interior details that reflect the Speed’s purpose. The driver’s information display and treadplates carry “Speed” badging, and the seats themselves have Speed-embroidered emblems. Bentley’s trademark “bullseye” air vents and organ stops can be finished in a dark tint instead of chrome. If you pick the four-seat configuration, the seat shoulders, door inners, and backboard panels feature a Precision Diamond quilt pattern.

The Speed’s two-tone hide treatment uses a darker primary colour, with flashes of the main hide colour on the seat outers, door panels, and instrument panel sides. Overall, the cabin leans towards darker tones to underline the car’s sporting intent, without sacrificing the luxury feel.

The Bentayga Speed in Daily Life

Even with all its performance upgrades, the Bentayga Speed doesn’t forget its luxury SUV roots. In COMFORT and BENTLEY modes, it still offers that relaxed, refined ride you’d expect. But flick it into SPORT, and everything changes: you suddenly have a more visceral connection to the car, from sharper throttle response to tighter body control. 1 sums it up as “the most powerful and dynamic Bentayga ever, without losing an iota of what makes a Bentley, a Bentley.”

Looking Ahead

Bentley’s Beyond100+ strategy aims to move the brand entirely to electric power by 2035, but for now the Bentayga Speed is the pinnacle of their internal combustion work. It’s a showcase for what a twin-turbo V8 can do when you pair it with top-shelf chassis hardware and a willingness to push limits.

As the company moves forward, still based in Crewe, still using handcraftsmanship alongside cutting-edge engineering, this car stands as proof that Bentley can blend luxury and performance without compromise.

From its roots under W.O. Bentley in 1919 to today’s team of over 4,000, the company has always focused on combining the finest materials with exacting engineering. Under Volkswagen ownership since 1998, Bentley continues to produce five bespoke models: Continental GT, Continental GT Convertible, Flying Spur, Bentayga, and Bentayga EWB.

The Bentayga Speed is the current expression of that philosophy: a luxury SUV that can sprint like a sports car and cruise like a grand tourer, and do both better than anything that’s gone before.
