Leviev Diamonds hosted a refined Hamptons luncheon uniting high jewellery, ballet, and philanthropy in a celebration of craftsmanship and cultural connection.
This summer, Leviev Diamonds brought together a select crowd in Southampton for an afternoon that paired high jewellery with high society. Held at the estate of Lauren Day Roberts and Bob Roberts, the “Brilliance in Bloom” luncheon offered a close-up look at the brand’s latest designs, while reinforcing its growing presence in the United States.
A Well-Placed Afternoon in Southampton
Organised by Chagit Leviev and Greg Sofiev, the private event took place on a warm Sunday in late June. Guests were invited not just for a showcase, but for a broader exchange between culture, design, and those who appreciate both.
Among the attendees were Candace Bushnell, Jean Shafiroff, Dottie Herman, Maria and Kenneth Fishel, Sheila Rosenblum, Kathy and Othon Prounis, Louise Braver, Jamee and Peter Gregory, Sylvia Hemingway, Nancy Jane Loewy, and Elyn Kroenmeyer. Katlean De Monchy co-hosted the event.
While modest in scale, the gathering was precise in its aim, connecting with a refined audience in a way that felt personal and considered.
Ballet and Jewellery in Conversation
Mary Thomas MacKinnan and Nieve Rose Corrigan of the New York City Ballet performed during the afternoon, wearing Leviev diamond pieces. Their appearance added something thoughtful to the occasion, showing how jewellery can move with the body and take on character in motion.
Adding to the atmosphere was a collection of rare cars from Ryan Friedman Motor Cars, tying in another layer of craftsmanship.
Acknowledgement and Community Support
Assembly Member Rebecca Seawright attended the event to formally recognise Chagit Leviev and Greg Sofiev with a Proclamation of Service. The honour highlighted their leadership and the brand’s contribution to business and charitable life in New York.
Simone Levinson and J. Whitney Stevens were also recognised for their work with the Southampton Arts Centre, which received support from the event. This partnership marked Leviev’s continuing interest in supporting the arts in a direct and practical way.
Chagit Leviev commented,
“Every jewellery piece Leviev creates, every partnership we build, and every cause we support is grounded in the same mission: to elevate beauty with meaning, and to match success with service. That is why we were honoured to support the Southampton Arts Centre here today. Art has the power to open hearts, tell stories, and connect communities, and we’re honoured that a portion of the proceeds from today’s event will help further that impact.”
Design, Explained First-Hand
Guests had the chance to speak with Greg Sofiev, Leviev’s CEO and Creative Director, about the design process behind the collections. From sourcing to finishing, the conversation was focused on quality, material, and method.
“There’s nothing better than sharing your passion with people who appreciate the quality, vision, and craft that goes into the work,” said Sofiev.
Pieces on Display
A full range of Leviev’s high jewellery was on show, featuring natural diamonds and a range of settings. Guests were able to try on pieces and speak with the team directly, an approach that suited the tone of the event.
The jewellery reflected Leviev’s vertical model, where everything from sourcing to final setting is kept in-house. This control allows the brand to maintain high quality standards and ethical practices, something that remains central to its reputation.
Looking Ahead
Guests also got a preview of Leviev’s upcoming campaign. It marked a fresh chapter for the brand under its current leadership, with a focus on renewed relevance in the US.
The campaign, shared quietly with attendees, stayed close to the company’s heritage while hinting at new creative directions. It’s part of a wider push to grow Leviev’s identity within a market that values both history and innovation.
Manhattan and Beyond
Leviev’s new space at 590 Fifth Avenue is now the base for its US operations. The private showroom is designed for clients looking for one-on-one service, bespoke pieces, and a discreet environment. This space reflects Leviev’s ongoing shift towards personalised luxury in step with modern expectations.
A Legacy Still Being Written
The company, founded over 50 years ago, built its name not just on fine jewellery, but on challenging the old structures of the diamond trade. Leviev was one of the first to take full ownership of the supply chain, helping change standards across the industry.
That background continues to inform its current direction, one focused on quality, ethics, and long-term value.
Supporting Culture in the Hamptons
The brand’s support of the Southampton Arts Centre reflects a broader idea that luxury should support culture. Rather than treating the arts as a sideline, the event placed them front and centre, showing what these partnerships can look like when done thoughtfully.
A Strong Showing for the Summer Season
The Brilliance in Bloom event brought together jewellery, performance, conversation, and community support in a setting that was carefully considered. It was less about spectacle and more about connection.
With its latest New York showroom, new leadership, and a clear strategy, Leviev is positioned to continue growing its presence in the US. And while the afternoon may have passed, the thinking behind it, attention to craft, respect for culture, and genuine engagement will carry through the rest of the year.
