Water Street Tampa, the thriving live-work-play neighbourhood that has redefined Downtown Tampa’s lifestyle, is gearing up for its second annual season of community events.
Following the resounding success of last year’s district-wide events, Water Street Tampa is all set to delight the Tampa community with a series of holiday celebrations and captivating public art pop-up installations starting this October.
Artistry Meets Community
Gabby Soriano, Vice President of Marketing for Strategic Property Partners LLC (SPP), the driving force behind Water Street Tampa, emphasised the importance of fostering a sense of community. “Water Street Tampa is a vibrant neighbourhood bustling with daily activity,” Soriano said. “It’s important to us to create fun, diverse opportunities for the Tampa community to come together, and we’re thrilled to continue the success of our seasonal events this fall with exciting new experiences for everyone to enjoy.”
This season’s public events promise to infuse the neighbourhood with life and culture. Water Street Tampa will showcase two internationally renowned, interactive art installations and a vibrant array of seasonal celebrations alongside its regular monthly activities. Live entertainment and culinary delights from the neighbourhood’s retailers will add to the excitement, offering a comprehensive view of life at Water Street Tampa.
Internationally Acclaimed Art Arrives in Tampa
As the premier arts and culture destination in Tampa, Water Street Tampa kicks off its annual fall events season with “Arts in Motion.” This programme will feature two enthralling experiential pop-up art installations commissioned by SPP and CASS Contemporary.
Dune, one of these remarkable installations, juxtaposes nature and technology, comprising hundreds of interactive LED lights and sound fibres that respond to the movements of visitors. Having captivated audiences worldwide since 2007, Dune will make only its second appearance in the U.S. at Water Street Tampa, on display from October 5-29 at Sparkman Wharf, across from their recreational lawn (Thursday through Sunday, 11 a.m.-9 p.m.).
Waterlicht: A Dive into the World of Water
Waterlicht, the second installation, weaves the power and poetry of water into an immersive experience using LED lighting, software, and lenses to simulate the sensation of being underwater for visitors. This artwork, created to raise water awareness and promote conservation and innovation efforts, has enthralled audiences across Europe and was previously showcased at iconic venues like the United Nations Headquarters and Columbia University.
In Tampa, Waterlicht will stretch 500 feet down Water Street, between Channelside Drive and Cumberland Avenue, from October 27-29, 8-11 p.m.
Water Street Tampa proudly houses a collection of permanent public art installations that grace the neighbourhood year-round. These include site-specific works by renowned artists such as Jim Campbell, Jason Bruges Studio, Leon Keer, Tavares Strachan, Alessandro Etsom, Ya Levy La’Ford, Bosco Sodi, and more.
Festive Cheer Returns to Downtown
Water Street Tampa will once again host its annual holiday celebrations, a tradition that began with the neighbourhood’s opening in 2022. These community-focused holiday events will feature:
Season Spectacular (Friday, November 17, 5-9 pm) – The neighbourhood-wide holiday décor unveiling, featuring live music, visits with Santa, and seasonal adult beverages. Proceeds from Season Spectacular benefit the Children’s Dream Fund, supporting the local charity.

Beyond the fall events, Water Street Tampa maintains a year-round calendar of community programming. This includes The Market at Water Street Tampa, a monthly fresh market showcasing produce and artisan goods, as well as regular live music, fitness and wellness activities, food and beverage experiences, and more.
Water Street Tampa continues to be a dynamic hub where art, culture, and community come together to create unforgettable experiences for residents and visitors alike.
