A Diverse Community of Animals

Avana Retreat collaborated with a specialist to carefully integrate a diverse array of animals into the Bamboo Forest sanctuary. Deer, goats, rabbits, pigs, chickens, ducks, and peacocks now coexist harmoniously within this green oasis.

In-house guests at Avana Retreat are offered hands-on experiences that provide invaluable insights into animal welfare and environmental awareness, particularly concerning wildlife conservation.

“We have our own animal ‘whisperer’ on-site,” reveals Huy. “He’s the first to arrive and the last to leave, already forming strong bonds with our animals by feeding them, communicating with them, learning their names, and demonstrating how to interact with humans.”

During the day, the animals are free to roam and interact with each other, fostering a natural environment. As the evening approaches, they have their shelters to retreat to, ensuring their safety and well-being.

The Bamboo Forest is just one component of Avana Retreat’s extensive and enduring eco-projects. Their commitment to sustainability encompasses a tree-planting project, which has already seen the planting of 10,000 trees and continues to grow. Additionally, the resort actively promotes and maintains ethnic minority traditions, practices organic farming, engages in neighbourhood trash collection partnerships with youth groups and enforces a no-plastic policy by purifying and bottling water on-site.

In conclusion, Avana Retreat’s Bamboo Forest stands as a testament to their unwavering dedication to environmental sustainability, fostering biodiversity, and promoting the coexistence of humans and wildlife. Visitors to this nature sanctuary will not only enjoy a memorable experience but also play a vital role in supporting these crucial conservation efforts.
