A remarkable event, a star-studded night and an unforgettable celebration, this was how Bellagio Shangai marked the grand occasion of the opening of the first Bellagio hotel outside of the U.S. The theme of the Bellagio Shanghai Launch Party was ‘Bellagio only’ and this star-studded night had a glittering array of celebrities who added a sense of glamour to an already glamorous celebration.
One of the highlights of the evening was the premiere of the beautiful film about the hotel directed by Lu Chuan. This is the first time that the director has worked with a hotel brand. The legendary director cast Tang Jingmei, an actress, and international supermodel Mariusz Smolinski as leads. The film perfectly embodied the core values of the brand which are “Romantic, Elegant, Beautiful and Artistic” by presenting the wonderful memories of a gentleman’s journey with a pinch of artistic creativity.
The auspicious event was a star-studded affair as Jiang Shuying, an actress, Wang Zongxian, a renowned Chinese-American composer in Hollywood, and Sun Jun, one of leading photographers in China, along with Yu Qiuyu, a contemporary cultural scholar were in attendance.
This Bellagio Shanghai Launch Party distinguished itself as something unique when the star chefs Julian Serrano and Jun Kurogi performed a thrilling cooking demonstrations for the guests. The chefs concocted a wonder for the senses, from sight, sound, aroma, touch and taste which engaged with the audience and established the new level of quality and innovation that the Bellagio Shanghai has to offer.
The chefs gathered to introduce the guests at the Bellagio Shanghai Launch Party to a blend of culture. Starting with the award-winning Chef Julian Serrano, founder of LAGO by Julian Serrano, presenting a classic Italian seafood risotto in a fully interactive way. Next Kurogi Shanghai served “Kaiseki Style” Japanese cuisine in an exquisite marriage of unique food and Japanese Sake with an inspiring speech about his culture and heritage. Also, an interactive and creative show, the legendary Long Xu Noodle Show showcased the expert-level skill of Diaoyutai Cuisine.
The international act that was the cause of much anticipation at the event was the performance by the world-renowned Blue Man Group. Since its inception, the group has gained a reputation as being one of the most sought after acts, transcending region and diversity. MGM, known for its spectacular live performances, also brought a team of performers to the North Bund. Three exciting and dynamic performances brought the feel of Las Vegas to Shanghai.
