“Sculpting Paradise” | From the Collection of Madame Marie Lalanne | From Mid-November 2022 | New York.

Christie’s recently announced ‘Sculpting Paradise’, a series of exceptional auctions of works by François-Xavier and Claude Lalanne, to be held in New York from mid-November 2022. This will be the first sale of this scale ever held in the United States of America for this unique creative couple.

The works originate from the collection of Madame Marie Lalanne, daughter of the artists, an artist herself, a French-American citizen, and a long-time resident of the United States of America.

Approximately 250 lots will be auctioned, in a prestigious sale to be held at Rockefeller Center and in an online sale. The works will be displayed in their entirety in Christie’s galleries at Rockefeller Center prior to the sales.

The New York sales will be preceded during the fall by an international marketing campaign, including exhibitions of selected works in Los Angeles, Paris, and Dubai, digital presentations in Hong Kong and Asia, and roundtable discussions with leading specialists dedicated to Lalanne, and a reference catalog.
