Recently luxury Melbourne-based womenswear label DIIDA hosted an intimate event in Melbourne, Australia. The reason for this event was the launch presentation of DIIDA’s Autumn Winter 2018 collection. This fun and versatile collection allows the wearer to mix and match pieces with ease. The designer labeled the new DIDDA Autumn Winter 2018 collection as the Attitude Collection.
The event was hosted at The Atlantic Restaurant at Crown and saw an exquisitely intimate space be transformed into a lovely Autumn drenched world. Cleverly incorporating the beautiful outdoors, the collection was introduced in an outdoor environment and as such was seen against the backdrop in which it has been designed for. Although the collection has been broadly designed, the pieces allow for a lot of personal interpretation that makes the pieces personal. Diida commented:
“I’ve always been fascinated by human expression and have always believed that one’s style is an expression of their personality and how they desire to be perceived by the world around them. From the business suit in the boardroom that represents strength and authority, to the bikini on the beach that exudes fun and freedom. The dynamic facets of a woman’s world is what excites me – to style and create for every facet is the core objective of my brand DIIDA – ‘Desk to dinner’, ‘Beach to bar’.”
Hosted at a luncheon the collection was revealed and introduced by celebrity stylist Lana Wilkinson. The event saw some of Australia’s top media, influencers, VIPs and socialites come to enjoy a preview of the pieces. Lana Wilkinson hosted an informative Q&A session with the brands Creative Director Dimitria Papafotiou. During this session, every aspect for the Autumn Winter 2018 was discussed as well as DIIDA’s history.
The collection consists of sophisticated pieces that have the perfect balance between being on trend yet timeless at the same time. The fabrics used throughout all of DIIDA’s collections are imported from Europe with each piece then being locally manufactured in Melbourne, Australia.
