Following on the major success that the Z44 enjoyed, Zeelander Yachts has launched a larger model, the Zeelander Z55, that highlights the best of its predecessor while setting a new benchmark for luxury boutique boat-building. The Zeelander Z55 is a total of 27 per cent longer than the Z44 and such has twice as much volume. This allows the owner to enjoy 100% more space than what the Z44 has to offer.
While still enjoying all of the key assets that the Zeelander Z44 has to offer, the Z55 encapsulates all of this on a grander scale. The meticulous attention to detail on-board has only been surpassed by the combination of superior-quality finishes and timeless design. The exquisite yet ‘easy’ interior is matched by the extraordinary ease of operation that the vessel has to offer.
“The decision to go for a 55-foot model was based on feedback from the market. Clients tell us that this is the perfect size for sailing without a captain and for finding a suitable berth. We also believe that 55 feet is the ideal step-up from a 44-foot yacht and a great solution for satisfied Zeelander owners looking to go to the next level.”
The cockpit allows for those on-board to enjoy complete 360-degree views from any of the six seats. The yacht boasts with four headlights (two on the Z44) and three bedrooms (one of two on the Z44). These include a master suite – complete with vanity table, a VIP suite and a guest cabin with bunk beds. The guest cabin could easily be used as crew members quarters.
A swimming platform has been fitted to the aft of the vessel. This allows for effortless access to the tender as well as to the water. Ensuring ultimate ease, the Zeelander Z55 can be docked on both starboard as well as the port side. Furthermore, the table can be electrically lowered for easy access.
The vessel enjoys a 2 x Volvo Penta Duo Prop Q6 propeller system that can reach a maximum speed of 32 knots with IPS 950. Built with a GRP Core Infusion Vinylester Glass fibre hull, she has a cruising range of 450 Nm @ 26 knots with IPS 950. She is also fitted with two Volvo Penta 725 hp engines with a fuel capacity of 3 300 lt.
