Glenfiddich, the world’s most awarded single malt Scotch whisky, has unveiled an innovative collaboration with digital art platform Rise Art. The partnership, dubbed ‘The Art of Glenfiddich’, introduces a unique luxury experience that pairs premium whisky with curated art rentals, allowing connoisseurs to enhance their home drinking experience through temporary ownership of significant artworks.

The initiative taps into the growing rental trend within both the art and wider luxury markets, offering customers an unprecedented opportunity to temporarily “own” artworks by established and emerging international artists, thereby elevating their whisky experience at home.

A Heritage of Innovation Meets Contemporary Art

Since its founding in Dufftown, Scotland in 1887, Glenfiddich has maintained a pioneering spirit that continues to shape the whisky industry. From its Christmas Day inception under William Grant’s vision to its current status as the world’s best-selling single malt Scotch whisky, the distillery has consistently pushed boundaries while maintaining its family-owned independence.

This latest artistic venture builds upon their established history of creative collaboration, following successful partnerships with internationally acclaimed artists such as André Saraiva and Fantasista Utamaro.

While Glenfiddich is now sold in over 180 countries across the world, it remains one of the few single malt distilleries to maintain its family ownership, with production continuing in the same distillery that William Grant and his family hand-built.

This commitment to tradition, combined with their innovative approach to whisky production, has established Glenfiddich as the first single malt Scotch whisky to be promoted outside of Scotland, ultimately becoming the most awarded in its category.

Curated Excellence: Where Art Meets Spirit

The carefully curated collection features works from some of the art world’s most prestigious names, including Damien Hirst, Mr A, and Pure Evil, alongside emerging talents such as Lucy Cade and Fuschia. Rise Art’s curators have meticulously selected each piece to complement specific expressions from Glenfiddich’s portfolio, creating what they describe as a harmonious blend of “piece and pour.”

The selection process specifically focuses on works that reflect the essence of Glenfiddich’s Time Re:Imagined Collection and Grand Series whiskies. Each artwork has been hand-selected by Rise Art‘s curators to create a sensory journey where “piece and pour” harmonises in taste and visual storytelling, inviting viewers to savour art with the same sensory richness as a finely crafted dram.

Democratising Luxury Through Digital Innovation

Rise Art has established itself as a pioneer within the digital art market, fundamentally redefining our relationship with art ownership. Their subscription service offers customers the opportunity to appreciate a range of artworks in their homes temporarily, providing access to great art without the commitment of permanent ownership.

This unique collaboration creates a personalised, immersive experience for a creatively curious audience while making art more accessible to both new and current generations of connoisseurs.

The partnership demonstrates how digital innovation can transform traditional luxury experiences. Rise Art combines sophisticated technology and online tools with traditional art world expertise to assist those seeking high-quality artwork for any setting.

Their collaboration with new and celebrated artists worldwide enables them to showcase their work to new audiences through online channels, offline collaborations, and exhibition programming.
