This year marks the 110 year anniversary of the iconic Oberpollinger. Only a handful of institutions, that can boast with such a long history, have made the ‘long haul’ and remained both relevant as well as a hot spot and go-to destination. That is why with the Grand Opening of the new Ground Floor at the Oberpollinger it is no surprise that there were more that 1 200 guests who arrived to celebrate this new milestone in its life.
The new revamp saw a complete overhaul of the ground floor which has been redesigned by English architect John Pawson. Upon arrival guests were et by the gorgeous windows designed by the Munich based artist Sarah Illenberger. The Grand Opening of the new Ground Floor at the Oberpollinger unveiled the brand new 4 500 square meter beauty, accessories and jewellery department.

The launch saw many well-known guests in attendance as well as various ambassadors from international brands, celebrities, socialites and personalities. Some noticeable guests included Nadine Warmuth, August Wittgenstein, Julia Malik, Victoria Swarovski, Andre Hamann, Christiane Arp, Katja Eichinger, John Pawson, Alessandra Meyer-Wolden, Sara Nuru and Nina Schwichtenberg only to name a few. Jerome Boateng was also in attendance whose eyewear designs are now exclusively available in the concept store “The Storey” of the Oberpollinger.
