Flo Milli brought the Miami vibe to the stage with a nod to Trick Daddy and Trina, performing hits like “Let’s Go” and “Da Baddest Bitch.” The evening also saw crowd-rousing performances by Mannie Fresh and Capella Grey.

BMI Honours the Best in the Industry

Throughout the ceremony, BMI recognised the top producers and songwriters behind the 35 Most-Performed R&B/Hip-Hop Songs in the U.S. from the previous year. The Song of the Year title was awarded to “About Damn Time,” written by Ricky Reed and Blake Slatkin, and performed by the talented Lizzo. Songwriter of the Year witnessed a three-way tie between Chris Brown, Doja Cat, and Tems, all of whom penned three of the year’s most performed songs.
