Hamburg | Germany
Situated in the exclusive Blankenese district of Hamburg stands an immaculate yet intimate villa that was shaped as it stands today by one of history’s greatest and most celebrated creative minds. Karl Lagerfeld’s German Villa has been meticulously kept and loved and has recently hit the market and could be yours for €10 Million.
Named Villa Jako, in honour of Lagerfeld’s longtime partner Jacques de Bascher, who died in 1989, the property served as the designer’s home from 1991 to 1998. Originally named Villa Schüler, the 3-bedroom was built by the shipping magnate Herrmann Witte in the ’20s and was designed to look like a Roman villa.

With a spectacular view of the River Elbe, the home offers a first-floor gallery that also serves as a library, a grand living room that spans the entire length of the property and round-arched glass doorways that open directly onto the lush garden, only to mention a few highlights. According to the listing broker Engel & Völkers, most of the interior design elements have been kept since Lagerfeld’s departure.
