King and Queen of Netherlands State visit to the UK

In an official announcement made by Buckingham Palace it was confirmed that His Majesty King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima will pay a state visit to the United Kingdom. The announcement of the Netherlands State visit to the UK was made following the invitation issued by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

 

The State Visit to the United Kingdom has been scheduled to take place from 23 to 24 October 2018. His Majesty the King of the Netherlands and the Queen of the Netherlands will be accompanied the Netherlands’ Minister of Foreign Affairs, Stef Blok.

More details of the State Visit is set to be released over the course of the next few weeks. It has been confirmed by the Palace that the King and Queen of the Netherlands will stay at Buckingham Palace during their visit. Her Majesty Queen Elzabeth has hosted two previous State Visits from the Netherlands during her reign. The first was Her Majesty Queen Juliana and Prince Bernhard who were hosted in April 1972 and later Her Majesty Queen Beatrix and Prince Claus.
