It is not unfamiliar for luxury brands to reach into other niches, especially in the automotive design. From Bentley issuing a line of luxury decor to Mercedes offering eyewear, this trend is not new nor does it see any chance of slowing down. That being said, Toyota’s premium brand has really taken the plunge into unfamiliar waters (if you will allow the pun) with their new venture, the LY 650 Yacht.
Lexus has in the past tried their hand with a few other lifestyle offerings but forging a name for yourself in the luxury yachting world is quite a bold move. In order to pull this off successfully, you would need to merge a reputable manufacturer with spectacular design and functionality, and it seems like they have managed to do just that.

Lexus joined forces with Wisconsin-based shipbuilders Marquis-Larson Boat Group in order to create the new LY 650 Yacht. Standing at an impressive 65-foot luxury yacht, she boasts comfortable sizing with a 19-foot wide beam. The wide bow at the front is further emphasised by the curved deck accents. Powered by two 12.8 litre inline-6 IPS 1200 diesel engines, the LY 650 Yacht by Lexus has an impressive 900 horsepower under the decks to propel you from port to port.
