3 Luxury Watches That Don’t Quite Fit The Norm

Luxury watches can make you stand out as you unload your smartphone from your jeans, wave across the street, or pay for your morning coffee. But some high-end timepieces will stand out more than others. There are a select few that do not fit the norm or the typical trends. They’re innovative and sometimes arguably one-of-a-kind.

Read on to uncover some of the most expensive luxury watches which follow their own trend.

1. Astronomia Casino by Jacob & Co.

Jacob & Co are renowned for making expensive and unusual timepieces, best highlighted in the Astronomia Casino. This  $1m Roulette-themed watch boasts a design resembling the surface of a black and red roulette wheel, and it has been developed on a similar 2014 creation. It’s not just unique in aesthetics, but it is truly remarkable. There are only 18 of these models rumoured to have been crafted.

While the luxury watches will set you back nearly $1m, you can’t actually place a bet with it or play a roulette game like others on their site. They do have a fine selection of watches in designs you won’t have seen elsewhere with vastly different features.

2. Hublot Big Bang One Click Rainbow King Gold

Hublot wins the competition for the most colourful opulent items in the market. Their Big Bang One Click Rainbow watch is precisely that – a big bang of colour. Everything is a concoction of bold and vibrant colours from the leather strap to the rose gold case and Sapphire glass. It’s waterproof up to 100 metres and made for all genders.

If you want to own a rainbow for the wrist, you’ll need to shell out around $100,000.

3. H Mosier & Cie. Endeavour Tourbillon Concept Vantablack

An earlier model of the luxury watches was released in 2014, but this newer model builds on that minimalist design with a rich technology – vantablack. If you don’t know already, vantablack is the blackest black you can find. A UK-based company developed it in 2012 by aligning nanotubes finer than human hair, which absorbs close to 100% of light. The end result is black like no other.

And the face of the H Mosier & Cie. Endeavour Tourbillon Concept Vantablack boasts this incredible black colour, making it a watch like no other. Limited models have been made, costing any wanting buyer between $25,000 to $70,000 depending on different design preferences.

Why Buy Luxury Watches?

A watch is not just a timepiece. It’s a fashion and social statement. Men and women who choose to own and wear this sort of jewelry typically feel confident and happier when wearing the item. You don’t have to buy a limited edition or own unique luxury watches even close to the prices above to be the owner of a quality piece. Some of the best are much cheaper and can be considered a family investment.
