The Marc Cain Fall Winter 2018 collection was produced in an environment that could only be described as a clubbing wonderland. The “Members Only” area saw the elite of the fashion industry gather where the underground station beneath Potsdam Square was transformed into an ode to the legendary Studio 54. The ambience was added on to by black-lights, neon strip lights and graffiti by URBAN NATION artists.
One of the major trends for the Marc Cain Fall Winter 2018 collection is colour-play. This has been achieved not only through the play of colour but the mixing and combination of textures to emphasize the contrast. Strong silhouettes and skillfully constructed patterns ensure the striking modernity of the pieces. Design elements include plush velvets and funky furs that marries the balance between decorative details and focal points.
Top model, Lena Gercke, commented on the show: “A great Show in such a cool location! The looks from the Collection were combined with the setting perfectly.” with Marc Cain founder and owner Helmut Schlotterner added “Today’s Show once again proves our versatility. It was certainly a successful start to the new season.”
Front row attendees included Lena Meyer-Landrut, Stefanie Giesinger, Yvonne Catterfeld, Nina Suess, Lena Gercke, Hannah Herzsprung, Veronica Ferres, Caro Daur and Victoria Swarovski. The show was opened by model Georgia Fowler.
