Meeting up with friends to enjoy the sunshine? See my top six places to make the most of the summer in 1.
The Prince, West Brompton
With a retractable roof, you can enjoy this place come rain or shine. It’s set out with lots of long tables and has great food options. Also, there is a DJ in the evenings which allows for an amazing atmosphere!
100 Wardour, Soho
For those not so nice days, the venue is inside but has the feel-good garden undercover for Wardourfest, with music in the evenings downstairs from 7.30 pm and also has a new summer menu for those balmy nights.
The Oyster Shed, City
Options for indoor or outdoor food/drinks, one for an evening after work as Saturday’s tend to be closed for private events. Serving Whispering Angel (my favourite) with a beautiful interior and has some incredible waterside views. This really is a great spot.
Underbelly Festival, South Bank
Situated on the water, this South Bank gem has outdoor bars, shows and food. It’s free to get in and has something for everyone. Get some frozen yoghurt at SNOG and enjoy the entertainment.
Vinegar Yard, London Bridge
This is an amazing pop up with street food, bars and views of the Shard. There are long tables in the garden to share with a group. Also, this spot has some of the best pop up shops in London and also has a great flea-market to pick through.
Broadgate Circle, Liverpool Street
Pizza, cocktails, shops and a gym – everything you could want, all in one place. Just expect it to be busy, especially after work. Everyone stands outside the bars, grab a spot and take your pick of drinks or food.
With this crazy heatwave currently sweeping the capital, now is the best time to take advantage and make the most of summer in London this year.
