Hustle is an Adam Sandler movie that tells the story of a basketball scout who has fallen on hard times and then discovers an outstanding talent abroad, bringing him back without receiving approval. It stars NBA stars of the past and present, one of the film’s main draws.
Anthony Edwards

Anthony Edwards, 20, a shooting guard for the Minnesota Timberwolves, takes on the role of Kermit Wills in Hustle. One of the biggest sports betting markets is the NBA league, so it makes sense to cast one of the NBA’s rising stars in Edwards. In the film, he’s an antagonist and also rivals the movie’s main character.
Moritz Wagner
Moritz Wagner, who hails from Germany and stands at 6’11, is another active NBA star to appear in Sandler’s movie Hustle. In the film, he’s a player with potential known as “the German MJ,” after Michael Jordan. On the court in real life for Orlando Magic, Wagner is a twenty-five-year-old who is an effective power forward and center. However, in Hustle, it’s all a bit of an illusion, and Wagner’s character Haas lacks any serious talent, which is soon seen through.
Trae Young

Trae Young, 23, is a point guard that wants to be on the court for the Atlanta Hawks making highlight plays. So, seeing him do so in the movie Hustle makes a lot of sense. Young, who was the fifth pick in the 2018 draft, was also the Big 12 Freshman of the Year, so he has pedigree. And since then, he’s gone on to feature as an NBA All-Star on two occasions and has an Eastern Conference Finals appearance to his name too.
Kyle Lowry
Kyle Lowry currently plies his trade in the NBA with Miami Heat, but the thirty-six-year-old has also represented teams such as Toronto Raptors, Houston Rockets, and Memphis Grizzlies. The point guard, who is a Philadelphia native, appears in Hustle, which is also part-filmed in Philly. Lowry, an elder statesman of the game, compared to others on this list, is also an NBA Champion and a six-time NBA All-Star.
Jordan Clarkson

If you want to catch a glimpse of Jordan Clarkson in Hustle, you need to watch out for the final pickup game, where he appears alongside the likes of Trae Young. In real life, Clarkson is the thirty-year-old shooting guard and point guard for Utah Jazz. He’s also played for the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Los Angeles Lakers. The 6’4 Filipino-American won Sixth Man of the year after his appearances off the bench with the Jazz.
The list of current NBA stars featuring in Hustle, an Adam Sandler movie, is endless. There are also some faces of the past that will be recognizable too. But, we don’t want to spoil all the fun, so give the Netflix-exclusive a watch and see how many stars of the NBA past and present you can spot while the story plays out.
