The fully on-chain sale offered collectors a highly curated group of 15 NFTs by celebrated artists including Zancan, Andres Serrano, Ash Thorp, Ayla El-Moussa, Cath Simard, Dave Krugman, Random International x Danil Krivoruchko, and more.

The sale totalled 247.1 ETH ($303,908 USD), selling 93% by lot.

The top lot in the sale was Lushtemples, a fantastic work by Zancan, which sold for 54.5 ETH. The work had been on display at The Gateway 2022, a Web3 Metropolis presented by NFT Now and Christie’s during Miami Art Week. An additional highlight was a constantly evolving virtual sculpture, titled Mother Flock, from the Life in Our Minds collection, a collaborative project between art collective Random International and Danil Krivoruchko.

Nicole Sales Giles, Christie’s Director of Digital Art Sales, remarks, “We are so pleased with the results of our first various-owner sale on Christie’s 3.0. In a time of uncertainty for the crypto community, this sale cemented what we have known to be true: dedicated and passionate collectors will continue to buy quality digital art. Next Wave: The Miami Edit saw global bidding and attracted nearly 85% of new clients to Christie’s. We are so grateful to the fantastic group of artists who participated in the sale.”
