Svendborg | Denmark
Her Majesty Queen Margrethe of Denmark recently set sail for the municipality of Svendborg in order to celebrate Summer Day. On the 6th of September, Queen Margrethe docked at the Svendborg Harbor aboard Her Danish Majesty’s Yacht Dannebrog.

After the Royal Yacht had docked, Her Majesty Queen Margrethe appeared on the deck of the ship and waved to the crowds that had turned up in order to welcome the Danish Monarch. Her Majesty then disembarked from the ship where she was received by Svendborg City mayor Bo Hansen.

Her Majesty, wearing a strikingly red jacket paired with a nautically-inspired print dress, was then driven in a carriage through the streets accompanied by mayor Bo Hansen and fr. Susanne Andersen. The trip led to the Svendborg Town Hall, where Her Majesty was officially received and welcomed.

Following the official reception, Her Majesty Queen Margrethe visited Plejecenter Bryghuset in Svendborg Demensby. Here, the Monarch was welcomed by the care centre residents, day centre guests as well as staff.
