Melbourne | Australia

Recently we have seen a boom in trendy new spots throughout the suburbs of Melbourne. These establishments range from cafes to clubs and trendy boutiques to fashionable eating-spots. The newest kid on the block is the new restaurant Rebel Blue Windsor, Melbourne.

Situated on Chapel Street, the new eatery hosted an exclusive launch earlier this month to introduce the establishment to the Melbourne’s who’s who. The new restaurant will be offering Greek inspired food with a twist. The brand’s identity is explained:

“A ring of Windsor toughs and local associates in the early 1930s, the Rebel Blues were a notorious but motley clan. When they weren’t racketeering or organising a shakedown, you’d find them hoovering a plate of Moo-saa-ka in their underground ouzo distillery and dive bar. Word has it that to prove their worth, prospective members were required to cook the Boss’ saganaki per his secret recipe. Only three members were made, and the rest? Forever sworn to the code of silence.”

Guests were welcomed with truly unique cocktails paired with exquisite dishes bursting with a mix of flavours and reinventions of familiar dishes. Notable guests included Georgia Love and Lee Elliott, DJ Andy Murphy, Demi Brereto and Klaus Bana, George Calombaris with his wife Natalie as well as celebrity hairdresser Joey Scandizzo.

The new restaurant Rebel Blue Windsor is an experience of taste rather than an establishment of classical fine dining. The restaurant breathes a brand new life and unique flavour into traditional Greek cuisine. The new restaurant will be open from Tuesday to Sunday but will be closed for Mondays.
