A long-time theatre actress, Golda Rosheuvel was born on January 1, 1972, in Guyana to her Guyanese father Siegfried Rosheuvel and British mother Judith Evans.
Golda’s parents met in the 1960s in Barbados during a music event where they were part of a choir and started dating not long after. Her mother was the niece of a priest while the Bishop of Barbados was her father. The family of Golda’s father lived in Guyana, so her parents moved and married there.
The whole family moved to the United Kingdom in 1975 where Golda grew up. However, she maintains a connection with her ancestors in Guyana.
Early Days Of Golda Rosheuvel’s Career
Golda Rosheuvel enjoyed acting and singing in school plays, yet it never occurred to her to become an actress. Her desire was to join track and field. In secondary school, she worked hard while preparing for the Olympics with the hopes to bring home a medal.
However, an accident of fate derailed Golda’s plans and made her rethink her path. A sprained ankle led to Golda missing months of her training. She then turned to performance and music back then and her computer was soon traded in for a guitar.
