Terre Blanche Hotel Spa Golf Resort is gearing up to commemorate its significant 20-year milestone with a lineup of activities and experiences that shine a spotlight on the resort’s dedication to eco-responsibility.
Reopening its doors today for the new season with rejuvenated facilities, the agenda boasts an amateur anniversary golf tournament, an exclusive Michelin-starred six-hands dinner, and a range of curated partnerships.
Terre Blanche Pioneering Eco-Friendly Tourism
Situated in a sprawling 750-acre estate and conveniently accessible from the French Riviera, Terre Blanche Hotel Spa Golf Resort emerged as a trailblazer in sustainable tourism when it first opened its doors two decades ago.
This steadfast commitment to sustainability recently earned the resort a coveted Green Key certificate, acknowledging its two-decade-long dedication to preserving the environment.
Further underscoring its commitment to sustainability, Terre Blanche Hotel Spa Golf Resort has garnered recognition as a Sustainability Leader by The Leading Hotels of the World (LHW).
This esteemed designation is reserved for just 50 hotels worldwide, selected based on their adherence to the highest standards of cultural, social, and environmental sustainability.
Renovation and Redefinition
In celebration of its anniversary season, two of the resort’s esteemed dining establishments, Michelin-starred Le Faventia and gourmet restaurant Le Gaudina have undergone meticulous renovations overseen by renowned French Riviera-based architect Philippe Bonino from Phira agency.
The renovation aimed to redefine the spaces while preserving the essence and identity of the restaurants. Sustainability was a key consideration, with the design team prioritising ethical consumption and attention to detail.
Le Gaudina now boasts walls adorned with Marmorino, a technique derived from Italian stucco, complemented by porcelain stone wall bases courtesy of Marazzi. Wooden panels have been incorporated for acoustic enhancement, alongside custom-made stained-glass windows and chandeliers designed by Thomas O’Brien, lending a touch of timeless elegance to the space.
Timeless Sophistication
Similarly, Le Faventia features a harmonious blend of glass, mirror, and bronze glazing, accentuated by abstract paintings showcased within the restaurant’s expansive wall alcoves.
French fabrics and trimmings from prestigious houses such as Rubelli, Nobilis, Canovas, and Houles contribute to the restaurants’ timeless and refined ambience.
Philippe Bonino, the visionary behind the project, emphasised the importance of preserving the essence of Le Faventia and Le Gaudina throughout the renovation process.
By carefully selecting high-quality, luxurious, and natural materials, the design team aimed to enhance the dining experience and evoke a sense of timeless sophistication, perfectly complementing the resort’s exceptional art collections.
Exciting Offerings
As part of the anniversary celebrations, guests can anticipate a range of exciting activities, including a new signature spa treatment incorporating local produce and Valmont expertise, a Michelin-starred six-hands dinner featuring renowned chefs, and a special Earth Day event to underscore the resort’s commitment to sustainable tourism.
Wine enthusiasts can indulge in a unique opportunity to explore the 2004 vintage at the resort’s wine cellar, with exclusive appointments available to sample the finest wines from the region under the guidance of head sommelier Aurélie Deharbe.
The festivities culminate in the Terre Blanche 20 Years Open, an anniversary golf competition for guests and golf enthusiasts alike, taking place on the resort’s picturesque 18-hole golf course.
In summary, Terre Blanche Hotel Spa Golf Resort continues to set the standard for luxury, sustainability, and excellence in hospitality as it celebrates two decades of unparalleled service and commitment to eco-responsibility.
