On March 8th, Annabel’s and The Caring Family Foundation celebrated International Women’s Day 2023 with a brunch and panel talk centred around the global theme of ‘Equity.’
Held in The Garden, Annabel’s hosted a panel of influential speakers, including Ruth Davison, CEO of Refuge UK, Kenya Hunt, Editor-in-Chief of ELLE UK and Founder of R.O.O.M Mentoring, and Dr Barbara Sturm, Founder of Dr Barbara Sturm Molecular Cosmetics.
The discussion was moderated by award-winning journalist and columnist Yomi Adegoke, with a special performance by Platinum-selling singer/songwriter Birdy, who debuted her new single “Raincatchers” and performed hits like “Wings” and “Keeping Your Head Up.”
Commenting on the morning, Patricia Caring noted: “This morning is a time for us to reflect about hope.”, with Katie Beeching having adding: “In the face of adversity, women are the driving force for change.” underscoring once again the exceptional strength and courage that women have and need to overcome adversity.

The event was a huge success, with members and guests enjoying a delicious breakfast menu that featured dishes like Coconut Yoghurt Granola with Poached Rhubarb & Pistachio Granola, Raspberry Croissant Flower, Brioche Pain Perdu, Smoked Salmon, Crème Fraîche & Dill, Sauteed Wild Mushrooms & Cashew Dukkah on Gluten Free Toast, and a Spring Refresher Juice made with Blood Orange, Pomegranate & Ginger.
The tables were beautifully decorated with soft pink and lilac florals by Neill Strain Floral Couture.
