Automobili Lamborghini, the renowned luxury sports car manufacturer, has once again demonstrated its upward trajectory by achieving record-breaking results in the first quarter of 2023.
This exceptional performance across various metrics showcases the effectiveness of Lamborghini’s strategic vision and its successful execution, especially during this momentous year of their 60th anniversary and the launch of their inaugural hybrid vehicle, the Lamborghini Revuelto.

Stephan Winkelmann, the esteemed Chairman and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “2023 will forever be marked as a milestone period in Lamborghini’s history. Starting the anniversary year with these remarkable figures fills us with immense pride. These results will instil us with even greater enthusiasm to face the upcoming challenges, including the initiation of the second phase of our groundbreaking ‘Direzione Cor Tauri’ program. This program, the most significant investment plan in our company’s history, will propel Lamborghini towards further growth and development.”
The closing of the first quarter of 2023 witnessed Lamborghini achieve its highest-ever revenue and profitability. Turnover soared to €728 million, reflecting a notable 22.8% increase compared to the corresponding period in 2022. Furthermore, operating income experienced a record surge, leaping from €178 to 260 million in the first three months of the year, resulting in an impressive profitability rate of 35.7%. These outstanding figures are complemented by a substantial order backlog that almost entirely covers the production for the year 2024.

Paolo Poma, the accomplished Managing Director and CFO of Automobili Lamborghini, lauded the exceptional results, remarking, “The first quarter of 2023 concluded with unprecedented achievements. These figures substantiate the path we have diligently pursued in recent years, propelling Lamborghini to its current position as an industry benchmark in the luxury market. The robustness of our order portfolio, coupled with the positive market reception following the unveiling of the Revuelto, provides a solid foundation upon which we will continue building our growth.”
Undoubtedly, one of the key highlights is Lamborghini’s impressive car deliveries. The first quarter of 2023 witnessed the delivery of 2,623 cars, the highest recorded number to date, surpassing last year’s first-quarter figure of 2,539 by 84 units.
The immensely popular Urus model emerged as the best-seller, with 1,599 units sold, closely followed by the Huracán. It is noteworthy that the Huracán has already sold out until the end of its production cycle, while the Aventador, Lamborghini’s previous flagship model, ceased production in 2022.
These figures are further bolstered by the strong demand for the new Revuelto plug-in hybrid, which garnered significant orders following its unveiling in March.
The exceptional start to 2023 aligns perfectly with the numerous opportunities that lie ahead for the esteemed automaker. As part of their momentous 60th anniversary year, Lamborghini introduced the Lamborghini Revuelto, their first-ever plug-in hybrid vehicle, signifying a pivotal step towards the hybridization of their entire model range, slated for completion by the end of 2024.

In conclusion, Automobili Lamborghini’s sustained growth and outstanding achievements in the first quarter of 2023 not only reinforce the company’s unwavering success but also pave the way for a promising future.
With their visionary strategies, relentless pursuit of excellence, and the resounding market response to their innovative vehicles, Lamborghini continues to solidify its position as an icon in the luxury automotive industry.
