Jakarta | Indonesia
Since its inception in 2008, Jakarta Fashion week has established itself as one of the main fashion weeks on the international circuit. Over the last 10 years this trade-platform has grown to become the largest Fashion Week in Southeast Asia. This season’s showcase of Indonesian fashion and design-creativity sees one of the countries’ top design schools participate with the Abineri Ang Atelier Et Createur De Mode 2019 showcase.
After veteran designer Abineri Ang had graduated from the Ecole Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne in 1996, the designer founded Abineri Ang Couture (now Abineri Ang Signature). Never resting on his laurels, he opened Abineri Ang Atelier Et Createur De Mode in 2000. At the fashion academy, students are trained as highly-skilled designers and manufacturers of garments to try and combat the challenges and limitations found in the Indonesian fashion industry. We take a look at some of the highlights from the graduating students at the Abineri Ang Atelier Et Createur De Mode 2019 showcase.
