Honoring LaTonya Davis: A Survivor’s Triumph Over Adversity
This year, Fashion Strikes Cancer will pay tribute to LaTonya Davis, a remarkable six-year survivor of triple-negative breast cancer. LaTonya’s journey was marred by the painful loss of her mother and her only sister to the same disease. However, her spirit remained unbroken. Drawing on her background as a former collegiate sprinter, LaTonya faced cancer as a formidable adversary – strong and intimidating, yet ultimately beatable.
LaTonya Davis has not only conquered cancer but has also earned the title of ‘CDC Foundation 2021 Cancer Free Challenge Honorable Mention’ winner. She is a proud graduate of the ‘National Breast Cancer Coalition Project Lead’ program and serves as a Komen Advocacy Ambassador.
Moreover, LaTonya has taken on a pivotal role as the host of “The Breast Talk Ever,” a purpose-driven podcast that celebrates entrepreneurs committed to making a difference in the cancer community.
