The menswear fashion week season is in full swing and so far one trend has stood out more than the currently omnipresent streetwear trend. The trend we’re referring to is bold! It seems that Fall Winter 2019 for the boys are, well, for men. The Philipp Plein Fall Winter 2019 Collection highlighted this trend brilliantly. Even if it is was slightly repetitive when it came to the looks.
Hosted at the beautifully opulent Palazzo Clerici, the Philipp Plein Fall Winter 2019 Collection was a monumental show for the brand. The show saw the 20th Anniversary for the ‘rebel German’. It seems that Fall Winter 2019 for men will all be about bold styling. There is a mix of ‘men’s basics’ with over the top accessorising. The currently ever-present piumino jacket is lengthened and fashioned in bold solid colours. Another trend that has been coming up throughout is the mix of typography and abstract imagery. It is perhaps most noteworthy to mention the layering. Most looks (throughout) has used a print tee as the basis. On this is added
double jackets, hoodies, tracksuits, piumino jackets and sports blazers.
In conclusion, the Philipp Plein Fall Winter 2019 Collection is for the unashamedly bold. It’s for the adventurous, artistic and expressionistic. If you’re a fan of luxury-streetwear the coming season will allow you to indulge and revel to your heart’s content.
