Born in 1979 on the 13th of May, Prince Carl Philip was born in Stockholm Palace, Sweden. Now fourth in line of succession, he was originally the heir apparent to the throne, right up until the 1st of January, 1980, thanks to a change in the constitution coming into effect.

By 1994, Carl had been enrolled at Kent School, that’s Kent, Connecticut, not Kent near London, UK. He studied science at Lundsbergs Upper Secondary School before graduating in the Spring of 1999.

He would go on to return to Sweden and study Agriculture and Rural Management at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences.
He is clearly a very well-educated young man, and what made that even more remarkable is the fact that he, just like his father, suffers from Dyslexia, which meant that school was a real struggle for the young prince.

Prince Carl Philip and his wife Princess Sofia are incredibly charitable royals. In 2015 to celebrate their marriage, they opened Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia Foundation, which is a charity aimed at tackling bullying.
As the young prince is very keen on sport, in 2013 he founded the Prince Carl Philip Racing Cup, which was founded to help young go-kart racers to progress within the sport, almost like a scholarship program.
As well as these charities, the prince regularly visits small businesses just starting out to focus on their creative work and to offer help and guidance on what they can do to improve.
In total, the prince, as of this writing, is the patron of numerous different organizations for charity purposes, including the Swedish National Dyslexia Association, and the Swedish Agricultural and Rural Economy Societies, along with the Royal Swedish Motorboat Club.
