In an official statement released by The Swedish Royal Court, it was announced that Her Royal Highness Princess Madeleine of Sweden will be giving birth in Sweden. This will be the third child to the Princess and Chris O’Neill.
The announcement that the royal pair was expecting was made last year and was met with great excitement. The third child is expected to arrive in March 2018. Because of Chris O’Neill’s work the couple currently resides in London.
Her Royal Highness Princess Madeleine and Chris O’Neill will fly back to Sweden to ensure that the Princess settles in early to prepare for the birth. Princess Madeleine is expected to fly back around mid-February. It is expected that the family will make the trip before 20 February 2018, as this date will mark the 4th birthday of the pair’s daughter Princess Leonore.
“HRH Princess Madeleine plans to give birth to her third child in Sweden. The birth is expected to take place in March 2018.”
It is expected that Princess Madeleine will have the baby at the Danderyds Hospital in Stockholm. This is the same hospital where she gave birth to her son Prince Nicolas. It is further expected that the couple will remain in Sweden for a short while after the birth. Royal watchers all speculate that they will stay in their apartment at the Royal Mews in Stockholm.
Princess Leonore was born in New York City where the couple had lived in both before and after their marriage. This had resulted that the Princess now has both American and Swedish nationality. The couple had temporarily moved to Stockholm for the birth of their son Prince Nicolas. Shortly thereafter the family relocated to London for Chris O’Neill’s work. His family also happens to live in London.

It has been stressed by the Swedish Royal Court that as Mr. O’Neill and Princess Madeleine are not registered as living in Sweden, the hospital costs will be for the couple’s personal account.
