Following a two year hiatus, Rodarte designers Kate and Laura Mulleavy returned to New York Fashion Week with the presentation of the Rodarte Spring Summer 2019 collection. Set in the historic New York City Marble Cemetery, the show saw the models, and guests, brave the rain last night. As if they were phantoms, the models emerged from the rainy backdrop one by one in fantastically retro-inspired pieces. With Spanish, 80’s, fairy-tale and perhaps even a touch Beetlejuice-like influences made watching the show seem as if you were transported to another world. A world where the party-girl, ultra-feminine and boldly-determined woman reigns supreme.
