Artcurial returns to Saint-Tropez this June with a standout auction of 80 collector cars, blending Riviera charm with world-class automotive heritage.
Artcurial Motorcars will return to the Gassin-Saint-Tropez Golf Club on 28 June 2025 for its summer auction of classic and collector cars. Now in its second year at the venue, the event blends high-end motoring with the casual charm of the French Riviera.
Eighty cars will go under the hammer, ranging from pre-war rarities to modern hypercars. The setting, a golf club just outside Saint-Tropez, offers a laid-back, open-air alternative to the usual showroom format. Exhibitions will run from 26 to 28 June, with the auction taking place on the final day.
Highlights from Maranello
Leading the catalogue are two Ferraris from the 1960s, both restored and certified by Ferrari Classiche.
The first is a 1965 Ferrari 275 GTB, finished in a rare light blue known as ‘Celeste’. The car has been fully restored in Italy and is offered in concours condition. Alongside it is a 1963 Ferrari 250 GT/Lusso in metallic grey. It shares the same provenance and restoration quality, offering buyers two strong examples from what many consider Ferrari’s golden years.
Both models come from the same private collection and are expected to draw significant interest.
Mercedes-Benz 300 SL: Roadster with a Riviera Air
From Stuttgart comes a 1958 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Roadster. This example includes matching numbers, its original hardtop, and a largely untouched specification, details that matter to collectors.
Artcurial suggests it would be just as suited to a run down to Club 55 as it would be to a concours. It’s a car that fits the tone of the event: classic, stylish, and understated.
A Hypercar Enters the Fold
Breaking with tradition slightly, a 2022 Aston Martin Valkyrie will also cross the block. With fewer than 2,000 km on the clock, it sits firmly in modern territory but makes a strong case as a future classic.
Its inclusion underlines the fact that Artcurial’s auctions are not just about nostalgia; they also cater to collectors with an eye on what’s next.
The Bugatti Stelvio: A Survivor from Another Time
Pre-war motoring is represented by a 1934 Bugatti Type 57 Stelvio by Gangloff. Remarkably, it retains all of its original factory numbers and is described as the most original example of its kind.
This is the sort of car that rarely changes hands, one that appeals to collectors focused on history and authenticity rather than polish and performance alone.
British Classics: Aston Martins and Jaguars
Several British models also feature, notably a series of Aston Martins that includes a DB4 and a DB6 Volante. Each has been carefully restored and presented in excellent condition.
There’s also a strong showing from Jaguar, with XK120 and XK150 roadsters and several E-Type convertibles included. These are well-known cars, but their appeal hasn’t faded, particularly when presented to this standard.
Motorsport Provenance: Solberg’s WRC Winner
For buyers more interested in racing history, one standout is the 2004 Subaru Impreza WRC driven by Petter Solberg to victory at the Acropolis Rally. This isn’t a replica, it’s the real car, with competition history and documentation to match.
Motorsport cars with proper provenance are increasingly in demand, and this one has all the right credentials.
Something a Bit More Relaxed
At the other end of the scale, a pair of cheerful beach cars, the Fiat 126 Cabriolet and Fiat Panda Cabriolet, offer a different sort of charm. They’re practical, fun, and perfectly suited to summer driving around Saint-Tropez.
Not every car in the sale carries a six-figure estimate. These models prove that character often counts for more than cylinder count.
“A Dreamlike Celebration of Elegance”
Artcurial Motorcars Director Matthieu Lamoure sums up the spirit of the event:
“You already know Saint-Tropez for its legendary white nights, the scent of olive trees, its picturesque harbour, colourful alleyways, and the iconic beaches of Pampelonne and La Ponche. Now, discover the most glamorous auction of the year, set at its exclusive Golf Club, where you can acquire the car that will make you stand out all year long. A dreamlike celebration of elegance, in the shade of Mediterranean pines.”
It’s clear the ambition is to create more than a sale. This is about atmosphere and experience as much as it is about transactions.

Conclusion
Artcurial’s summer auction in Saint-Tropez is more than just a sale, it’s a gathering point for collectors, enthusiasts and Riviera regulars. The mix of serious cars, light-hearted entries, and a memorable location ensures it stands apart on the international calendar.
It’s a reminder that collecting is not just about ownership, but about context, and few places offer a better one than this.
