Susannah Lovis Jewellers, located in the prestigious Burlington Arcade, has recently unveiled the largest unheated sapphire on the UK market.
This 32.93-carat Sri Lankan sapphire ring is a rare gemstone that has retained its natural size and colour.
Its Sri Lankan origin is considered the most premium sapphire origin on the globe, making it an even more breathtaking piece of jewellery.
A Rare Find
The stunning blue gem is over twice the size of the Princess of Wales’ engagement ring sapphire and is flanked by six marquise diamonds, making it a true statement piece.
The ring is priced at £195,000 and is a rare find that has not been on the market in decades.
The ancient gemstone was last purchased in the 1950s and was remounted onto its current platinum ring in the 1980s.
Design and Specifications
The 32.69ct cushion-cut blue sapphire is securely four-claw set and is the focal point of this stunning ring.
The sapphire is sided by three marquise-cut diamonds, which perfectly contrast the deep blue sapphire.

The stones have been set in a minimalistic wire style mounting to enhance the presence of the stones.
The central sapphire has been certified by The Gem Testing Laboratory of Great Britain as being natural and is accompanied by a report number 1230395.
The estimated total diamond weight of the ring is 1.20 carats, with diamonds ranging from H-I in colour and VS-SI in clarity.
The ring is a true one-of-a-kind piece due to the sheer size and quality of the cushion-cut sapphire, making it unique and charming.
The ring is currently a UK finger size L ½ (roughly a USA size 6) but can be resized for a perfect fit.
Conclusion

According to Susannah Lovis, “This has to be one of the most beautiful sapphires I have ever seen.
For a stone of this size and colour to be unheated is incredibly rare, and we are honoured to bring it to the market.”
The exquisite ring is an excellent addition to Susannah’s collection in the Burlington Arcade boutique and a must-have for those looking for a rare and unique piece of jewellery.
