Montblanc hosted the Reconnect To The World Event In Berlin to launch its new state-of-the-art luggage and accessories collection.
The iconic Metropol Theatre at Nollendorfplatz opened its doors for the first time in six years for a very special occasion. This legendary space was transformed into an immersive travel experience for the Montblanc Reconnect To The World Event.
Berlin’s glitterati descended on the German capital to celebrate the launch of Montblanc’s new state-of-the-art luggage and accessories collection. Upon arrival at the long-dormant landmark, guests entered the venue through a ‘travel tunnel’.
Once through, the various celebrities, VIPs, ‘friends of the Maison’ and invited guests found themselves right in the heart of the Metropol. Here, projections of favourite urban destinations filled the room and instantly transported you to various locations with just the turn of your gaze.
The central ‘attraction’ of the evening was the fantastic central wall sculpture created with trolleys by Marc Jung reflecting several artworks on the Berlin wall, marking 30 years since its fall.

Montblanc CEO, Nicolas Baretzki commented: “Reconnecting with the world around us is a key theme for us this year and we wanted our new travel line to make the travel experience as enjoyable as possible, leaving room to learn about the world around us, inspiring us to leave our mark. By giving our guests access to a theatre that has been closed for almost six years and share special cultural experiences with them, we brought that benefit to life in the vibrant city of Berlin.”
