Cafe Deco Group, in partnership with Food Square which operates Chef’s Cuts, is set to shake up the dining scene with four new restaurants at THE SOUTHSIDE in Wong Chuk Hang.

Opening late in June 2024, these new restaurants will offer different and exciting dining experiences to the Southern District’s culinary scene with unique flavours and ambience.

Nana’s green tea: Expanding Japan’s Matcha Magic

After the success of its AIRSIDE flagship, Nana’s Green Tea is set to open its second Hong Kong outlet at THE SOUTHSIDE. This new branch will bring the real Japan to the southern side of Hong Kong Island.

As Japan’s largest matcha-branded café chain, Nana’s Green Tea offers a wide range of teas, tea-infused desserts and savoury dishes.

Each Nana’s Green Tea Café has its own character and THE SOUTHSIDE is no exception. 1,400 sq. ft with 56 seats, the café has a modern design inspired by traditional Japanese tea ceremonies.

The interior, highlighted by light wood and a dappled ceiling, creates a serene environment perfect for enjoying a relaxing meal.

Bamboo Thai: A Tranquil Thai Culinary Haven

Bamboo Thai’s new outlet at THE SOUTHSIDE is a peaceful retreat, blending Southeast Asian elements with a modern twist. Established in 2020 with outlets in Mong Kok, Tsuen Wan and Tuen Mun, the Southern District’s new addition continues the trend with a menu full of authentic Thai ingredients and spices.

4,200 sq. ft with over 190 seats, the restaurant is a spacious space inspired by Thailand’s jungle. The interior features murals by Japanese artist TAXA, depicting Thai motifs.

The extensive menu includes classic Thai dishes with a modern twist, as well as a diverse beverage selection, ensuring a memorable dining experience.

Duan Chun Zhen: Authentic Taiwanese Cuisine

Duan Chun Zhen brings Taiwan to THE SOUTHSIDE with a new outlet. Founded in 2007 as a tribute to the founder’s grandmother, the restaurant is famous for its braised beef noodles which won awards in Taiwan.

The new 1,900 sq. ft outlet with 80 seats has a traditional Chinese design with bamboo accents, grey wall tiles and Chinese partitions to create a warm ambience.

The menu, featuring home-style recipes and new marinated dishes, promises an authentic Taiwanese dining experience.

Chef’s Cuts: A Gourmet Experience for Meat and Seafood Lovers

Chef’s Cuts is set to change the all-day dining scene in Wong Chuk Hang with its fourth outlet. This restaurant focuses on high quality meats, dry-aged cuts, fresh seafood and artisanal deli meats from around the world.
