London Craft Week (8th-14th May) is a time to celebrate the artistry of craft and the legacy of those who have refined their techniques over time.
It is a week-long event that showcases some of the most exceptional craftsmanship that London has to offer, and Aberlour, a Single Malt Whisky with over a century of experience, is proud to be a part of it.
Aberlour has partnered with Charlie Borrow, a leather smith and luggage maker, to create an exclusive speakeasy bar experience that will be held at Charlie’s Workshop, located in the heart of East London.

Collaboration of Craftsmanship and Knowledge
Aberlour’s commitment to exceptional quality and complexity in creation is shared by Charlie Borrow, who values intricate creations and timeless designs over cutting corners or costs.
Charlie’s Workshop is a testament to his dedication to the craft, with products that are made to last and age beautifully over time. Similarly, Aberlour has spent over 144 years refining its craftsmanship, character and complexity, creating a legacy of passion and knowledge that sets it apart.
Aberlour’s Speakeasy at Charlie’s Workshop
For one week only, Aberlour and Charlie Borrow will collaborate to create an exclusive and intimate speakeasy bar experience in the hidden basement of Charlie’s Workshop.
The speakeasy bar is usually only accessible to members, but during London Craft Week, it will open its doors to whisky and craft enthusiasts alike. Guests will be immersed in the expert craft that is central to both brands while enjoying a range of refined whisky cocktails and whisky drams, made exclusively for London Craft Week.

Leather Wallet-Making Workshops
In addition to the speakeasy bar experience, Charlie’s Workshop will also host leather wallet-making workshops on Thursday 11th May and Friday 12th May.
Participants will be walked through the intricate construction techniques by Charlie Borrows himself before experiencing an Aberlour whisky tasting by Tom Finding, Aberlour’s brand ambassador. Attendees will learn about Aberlour’s rich whisky-making history and the complex distilling process behind its range of unique single-malt whiskies.
Tickets for the leather wallet-making workshop will be available to purchase for £50, which includes the leather wallet workshop session, Aberlour whisky tasting, and access to the Speakeasy bar until 8.00 pm.

Tickets for Aberlour’s Speakeasy at Charlie’s Bar will be available to purchase for £18, which includes two complimentary Aberlour cocktails.
Once inside the bar, guests will have the chance to experience a selection of specialist whisky cocktails using the finest ingredients, alongside Aberlour’s signature single malt whiskies of Aberlour 12 Year Old and 14 Year Old and A’bunadh Alba Scotch Whisky, which will be available to purchase by the glass or by the bottle.
