A Staggering 133.03-Carat Fancy Vivid Yellow Diamond

A significant highlight of the auction was the establishment of a groundbreaking milestone in the diamond market.

An extraordinary Fancy Vivid Yellow Diamond, weighing an astonishing 133.03 carats, sold for $5.5 million, becoming the largest Fancy Vivid Yellow diamond ever to be auctioned.

Alongside the record-breaking yellow diamond, the auction featured a collection of exceptional diamonds, including a breathtaking necklace adorned with 120 pear-shaped diamonds. Two of these diamonds exceeded 28 carats each, contributing to the necklace’s impressive $4.4 million sale price, surpassing the estimated value.

Another standout piece was a remarkable necklace by Leviev, boasting over 120 carats and adorned with 30 diamonds of various cuts. This exquisite creation realized $2.4 million, showcasing the enduring allure of meticulously crafted diamond jewelry.

Rare Pink Sapphire and Diamond Rings Steal the Show

A Fancy Intense Orangy-Pink diamond ring, boasting a cut-cornered rectangular step-cut stone weighing 7.37 carats, commanded attention and achieved a notable $1.7 million, surpassing its estimated value.

The sale also featured a captivating ring of toi et moi design, showcasing a Fancy Gray-Violet diamond weighing 3.68 carats and a round colorless diamond weighing 3.92 carats, which fetched $1.1 million.

The auction showcased a collection of 10 pieces from the legendary Mary Tyler Moore, all of which were eagerly snapped up, achieving a total of $315,700.

Highlights from her collection included a gold ‘Monete’ necklace from Bulgari, a gift from her husband, Dr. S. Robert Levine, which fetched an impressive $38,000. Mary’s beloved diamond ring, weighing 5.14 carats and worn daily, sold for $76,200.

Richard “Red” Skelton’s Extravagant Collection: A Pink Sapphire Triumphs

Jewels from the collection of Mr. and Mrs. Richard “Red” Skelton took center stage, featuring an exceptionally rare Burmese Pink Sapphire and Diamond Ring. This extraordinary piece soared to $1.1 million, surpassing its high estimate by seven times.

An Exquisite Ruby and Diamond Bracelet by Harry Winston, re-acquired by the brand, achieved $393,700, contributing to the total of $3.7 million from the Skelton collection.

The auction also included jewels from the collections of Barbara and Frank Sinatra, as well as Mr. and Mrs. Tony Randall, all of which were 100% sold. A stunning Diamond Ring weighing 16.19 carats from the Sinatra collection fetched $406,400, exceeding its estimated value.

The Randall collection featured a Gold, Sapphire, Emerald, and Diamond Bracelet by Jean Schlumberger, selling for $127,000, nearly $100,000 more than the high estimate.
