We scoured the streets to find the best bars in Kensington High Street for that perfect night out.
London is famous for a lot of things, and it’s safe to say that its nightlife is certainly one of those things. The nightlife in London is the stuff of legend, and for those of you who like a drink and to dance the night away, Kensington is the place to be.
While many parts of London host some very special bars and clubs, Kensington is certainly up there with the best, and for good reason.
Some of the bars in Kensington High Street have a reputation for being posh and upmarket, and while that is true for some of them, you may be surprised to learn that there are also some hidden gems in the area that are affordable, welcoming, and a whole lot of fun in the process. So this area really does caters for all tastes, ‘vibes’ and budgets.
If you’re in Kensington and want to check out the nightlife, these top bars in Kensington High Street and the surrounding areas are guaranteed to impress.
Piano

Address: Royal Garden Hotel, 2-24 Kensington High St, Kensington, London W8 4PT
The first bar that we have for you today is the aptly named ‘Piano’ bar.
As you can probably guess, the name of this bar isn’t ironic, it is titled as such because nearly every night of the week, patrons will be fortunate enough to enjoy the musical talents of a different pianist.
This bar is exactly as you might expect, with a chilled-out ambience, fine leather seating, and the scent of wood and more whiskies than you will know what to do with.
To top off your night, there’s also a restaurant so you can order a delicious meal, sip on your favourite tipple, and listen to the pianist of the night tickle the ivories as you forget your troubles for the day and unwind.
Chelsea Prayer Room

Address: 333, Fulham Road, SW10 9QL
Next up we have the Chelsea Prayer Room bar.
This is not your typical bar, as it is “hidden” within the confines of the ‘Goat’ restaurant. Situated on Fulham Road, here you can enjoy a selection of cocktails made to order in comfortable and inviting surroundings.
This is the perfect bar for those who don’t want to be bothered too much, as it only hosts a max capacity of 30, which, while snug, is very quirky and makes for a very relaxed atmosphere.
Dirty Bones

Address: 20 Kensington Church St, Kensington, London W8 4EP
Third up we have the Dirty Bones bar.
This is not your typical upmarket, cocktail dress and black tie bar you might expect in Kensington, it is a ‘dive and dog bar’ specialising in hot dogs and other Americanisms.
The atmosphere here is deliberately designed to replicate a dive bar as you see in movies set in the US, complete with dimmed lighting, loud music, and fun and eccentric cocktails featuring dog puns.
Offering hot wings, hot dogs, and cocktails such as the Top Dog and Deputy Dog, this is the perfect bar to let your hair down in and relax.
