Dries Van Noten Fall Winter 2019 Collection

Throughout various fashion weeks this season, a countless number of brands have flirted with the oversized-tailored trend. But rather than flirt with it, the Dries van Noten Fall Winter 2019 collection is an oversized-tailor fest! Ranging from Louis Vuitton FW19 to Zl by Zlis this trend has been a favourite with designers across continents.

The Dries van Noten Fall Winter 2019 collection explores this hot trend further than just a few pieces but makes up the majority of the range. It is evident in everything from overcoats to jackets, blouses, wraps and pants. The loose exaggeration of the fit is strongly contrasted with traditional tailoring to still emphasise the silhouette of the wearer. Quilting is another trend that has been found throughout many collections and has been incorporated in this collection from coats to wraps.

The main trend for Fall Winter 2019 still has to be that of contrast. This is also evident throughout the collection with contrast in materials as well as styling solid together with transparent materials. Other trends that have also been spotted in the collection is the usage of black, floral and layering. This season’s reinvention of layering stretches further than how we understand it but explores layering different styles.
